Bono...
I have a huge respect for Bono and what he's doing with the aids crisis...but honestly what am I doing to help. Not to put Bono on the same level as Jesus (because he's obviously not) but the situation is similar. With Bono you can think that he has good ideas and that he's on the right track but if you don't get on the train too..then what's the point of thinking he has good ideas? A lot of people see Jesus as a good idea and that to live a nice life you should follow Jesus and then choose not to follow Him. Forgive me if that doesn't make sense...A number of years ago, I met a wise man who changed my life.
In countless ways, large and small, I was always seeking the Lord's blessing.
I was saying, you know, I have a new song, look after it... I have a family, please look after them... I have this crazy idea...
And this wise man said: stop.He said, stop asking God to bless what you're doing.
Get involved in what God is doing — because it's already blessed....
